About Texas Readiness
Independent. Not a government agency.
Texas Readiness puts live Texas conditions on one screen: weather alerts, the power grid, burn bans, drought, tropical storms, river gauges, power outages and live local TV. Pick your county and see what is happening there right now.
When something is coming, you should not have to check ten websites to find out. That is the whole idea.
Where the data comes from

How we keep it honest
Every source has a time limit. If a feed goes quiet or fails a check, the site stops showing it, says it is out of date, and points you to the official source. Old data never gets dressed up as current. You can see the age of every feed on the feed status page.
Reports from local people are labeled for what they are. One report says "unconfirmed." Several reports from different people, or a match with official data, earn a stronger label. Reports expire after a few hours.
